Default Looking for the best all around Web host !.

I would like to know/find the best all-around and flexible Web host that includes a domain name, Web building software, and more.

I would like it, if it included more than one domain name (but that is not a top priority.

A Web host – that if I decide to leave the Web has I would be able to transfer my domain name(s) / website to another Web host with no hassle.

And in expensive Web host – (e.g. - I don't mind paying $10 per month rather than $5 if it is better overall and meets all the above criteria.

Default Hostgator

Hello i say use hostgator for the money you get things like cpanel and fantastico that makes website building easy for blogs and stuff. They are good priced and have good support. I dont care for godaddy at all they are low priced but for good things like cpanel and stuff you have to get they higher packages . But they have cheap domains.

Register your domain name at namecheap.com

Host your site at hostgator.com

As far as the web builder is concerned, you can always use free templates and a text editor. If your intention is to create a niche website, I would recommend Wordpress + a free template.

Default Confused on best host

I just went to web host pad and they are down... That doe's NOT serve me well...

I am new to the game of babble, or is this place of many language, and hope some do the language of gibberish...

I started with 1&1 a couple of day ago and now find there building software will only do 2 domains... I have 3 and went to there other software to build the 3rd and it is very NOT it...

It is also very slow and hard to see the templates...

I stopped by, by chance here and took a look at what was happening as a guest... I found for me that I made a mistake, I believe, to host with 1 & 1...

The question I have are;
1. Is Host gator seem to be better for the size you get for the money and do they also have the site builder work for one or two domain builds...

2. What host is the place to do a long term stay, and for what reasons...

3. Do the host you recommend have tons of "real" and easy to find content to ad to the site I build...

4. What question am I missing...

Thanks all, for any consideration in this matter as getting the sites up and going is SUPER important, as I am getting many contacts wanting my services...

Sorry 'bout your troubles eagleswingwis. Hostgator does have a builder but I've never used it. I've discovered that if you use any host that has its own builder, you are always going to be limited in some way due to how the builders are setup. To have 100% freedom with your site it's best to upload from scratch or use your own web software.

Just making sure I understand your 3rd question... it's a bad idea to look for content from another source. If you publish content that is already on another site you are putting yourself at an extreme disadvantage with the search engines because they penalize duplicate content. Not to mention hosts don't generally provide you with content. They are around to simply host your site. It's always best to publish your own content from scratch.

HostGator gets the thumbs up from me.
