Hey Augenauf,

Just go to "add on domains" through your main c-panel menu. Fill in the domain name (with .com or whatever at the end) then the sub-directory you wish all the files to be in (it will automatically generate a folder name for you if you wish to keep it) then fill in a password.

Everything should be generated for you in the folders. Go to your file manager to the folder for the site (the sub-directory in your www folder) and start uploading all your files. That should be it.

That seems awfully simple. So it will not have its own public_html folder? It'll just be a subfolder on the site I already have?

Yes, technically speaking if you have more than one domain hosted there, all your add-on domains are sub-domains. They have it set up, however, so that it it just like having separate domain hosting for each site. When your web address is typed in it goes directly to the index file of that sub-folder.
Some people have problems with thinking of them as sub-domains, but for all intents and purposes, it is it's own domain. I have had them make my main site a sub-domain folder as well just for the ease of organizing everything. It has made absolutely no difference in my search rankings either, which is another gripe people may have.
I absolutely love having all my domains controlled from one spot!

Oh, okay! Thanks tons! One more thing, though.

When I FTP, do I just FTP it to that folder then?

Yes. If you go to your cpanel control panel and click on ftp manager then on ftp accounts, it will give you the ftp host and the host directory.
It is usually something like this:

ftp host: ftp@mainsite.com<that isn't a link, don't click it.
host directory: public_html/secondsite/
Then sign in with your main user name and password that you set up when you created the site.
Little tip: don't forget the second backslash in your host directory name - that one drove me nuts for hours.
