My guess is that they have the ability to allow clients to host more than 1 domain, it's just they don't let you... unless of course someone is willing to pay extra to host additional domains.

Therefore, it sounds to me like the email they sent to you about an additional domain is just trying to up-sell.

In other words, let's hypothetically say you're paying $5 for hosting 1 domain. Now instead of charging you $10 for hosting 2 domains, the "reduced price" would be something like $7 (for both domains).

Of course, I am guessing about all of this and I could be way off

Yeah I got that email too and ignored it. LOL As Sherif said, it's just an upsell.

i mean they tell you 600 GB web space but they do that anticipating that u would never use that much space..but if you actually do then they charge you via some reason or the other....the same is with bandwidth... TB is just a marketing gimmick!! I have read this many times in several forums...what do u think its true?

I've never heard this but I wouldn't be surprised. That's why hosts are now starting to offer unlimited and very high amounts of space. It's all marketing because they know most people won't use that amount of space.
