Hi everyone, I am planning to build a business directory for the country where I am from. Does anybody know a hosting company that offers business directory hosting and/or provides the tool to build one.

This is the best solution I found atm.
It's requirements are
* Linux operating system
* Apache web server 1.3.37 +
* MySQL 4.1.21 +
* PHP 4.4.3 + with sockets enabled
And every paid host has these. Well 99% of them anyway.

Oh, and it's free while other alternatives are hundreds of dollars and more.

You mean a web directory ?

There are many good scripts that let you create a directory. For example: phpLD and eSyndicat [Google for them ] These scripts have many cool free themes. To run these you need hosting with support for PHP. You can get decent hosting for about $6-10/month at sites like Hostgator, etc.
