Default WebsitePalace Vs GoDaddy

Hi everyone. i'm about to buy a domain .com

(actually, i always liked .net the most but it's not my choice :P)

So i went looking for a website that could offer some fair prices

I found these two (lol website palace from 2builawebsite.com and godaddy from the banner at the right :P)

I can see that lisa as an experient webmaster trusts websitepalace...but godaddy.com has cheaper prices when it comes to .com

-WebsitePalace - 15.99 yr
-GoDaddy - 9.99 yr

So i wanted to ask, is GoDaddy reliable too?

why did you refer website palace and not godaddy at 2buildawebsite.com?

well, smell ya later

Hey Lobito

Websitepalace is my reseller store that I earn commissions from so of course I'm a bit biased. That's why I offer so many freebies (free templates, ebook software, etc.) because I know I'm priced above the market. But my referral commissions are so good right now it doesn't quite make business sense for me to lower them that far just yet. It's complicated but I have to keep it that way for now.

GoDaddy.com is much cheaper and they are very reputable so it's perfectly fine to register there. Any registrar is going to give you the same benefits in terms of domain registrations. I think NameCheap.com might even be better than GoDaddy from what I've heard on the forum.

Cool Godaddy

I LOVE Godaddy! I own 6 domains. All were bought through Godaddy. I have not had any problems with them. They're a very good company!

I agree with Jaress, I have a few domains with them and they are a great company I have requested email support several times and received quick and helpful responses in less than 5 hours.

Default Not to complicate matters

Hi Lobito,
Not to complicate your decision but while GoDaddys prices are cheaper upfront, and they constantly have sales going on, if you want extra services like privacy registration, you will have to pay extra. So, it may be worthwhile to look into what Lisa actually offers for the extra charge. I have registered all of my domain names (7) with GoDaddy but Host them with Hostmonster - Don't ask. I am happy with both! No complaints here.
Hope this helps and doesn't complicate your decision.

Much Success,
Andrea

Lisa, I know that this is an old post, but I wanted to ask you something about websitepalace. If I signed up under you as a reseller, would you earn commissions from my personal sales as well as any customer who buys domains under me? or do you only earn commissions on just the products you sell to your customers? I hope I asked this right. Anyways, I have two web projects that I'll be starting for my clients within the next week or so, and I'm trying to see if it would be worth it to sign up as a reseller and to see about recruiting my team as resellers under me. I'm not sure how all that works, but I just wanted to ask you before I made my decisions.

Also, What method do you use when you are hired to do a website for someone? Do you tell them to go to websitepalace.com and buy a hosting and domain package first and then you charge them to build their site, or do you purchase a hosting and domain package for them and then charge them for both the package and to build their site. Just trying to see what works for you and what's easier. I will be making a decision this Saturday.

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

Yes I do earn a 2-tier commission from websitepalace.com if you were to sign up as a reseller, but I just found out last week that in order to be eligible for the two-tier commission you need to sign up under the parent company www.wildwestdomains.com. It's more expensive than my branded reseller store but that's the only way to be eligible for the 2-tier.

I guess Wild West Domains doesn't earn much money from a reseller who recruits a reseller who recruits a reseller so that's why you have to sign up with www.wildwestdomains.com (the parent company) if you think you are going to recruit other people who want to resell.

So if you signed up under my link you would not be eligible for 2-tier commissions, only 1 tier. Best to go through wildwestdomains.com for that.

Make sense?

As far as your 2nd question, I don't build sites for other people so I haven't run into this issue. All my sales come from 2create and people just build their sites themselves.

But what I would do is have them sign up using their own card so they have full control over their own account, passwords, etc. Then they can create an FTP account for you so you can build their sites. It would be a hassle if you signed up for them because you want their domains to be in their name, not yours. That could get messy.
