Question About that company thing

hey everyone, so, I am a newby, and just thought of some idea to post online, so I wanna make a website, and I have no background of doing website at all. Since I found this great teaching website today, I started to do the first step and get a little confused when I was registering my domain name. It asked me to provide a company's name, 'couse I just planed to do a private website so I dont know any company at all will support me.

so I just want to ask what is that company thing? how can I find a company to support me? (it would be best if it's free.) Anyway, I've got an awesome idea for making good fortune.

You don't have to put in a company name and if it's a mandatory field I always just put N/A.

thanks a lot!

And can you please give me some advice about what kind of protections and services (like forum, chatting room, etc.) I should choose? Since I want to do some sports watching games online live and videos kind of thing and I think there will be a lot of people coming to my website, so do you think I should put more protections on it or some other stuff, because, you know, if you choosed everything you will pay a lot for it, so I just want to pay as little as possible and choose them just right for my website.
thanks~~~~~

Hi James,

Are you talking about broadcasting live network/TV events from your site? If so, there are some legal issues with those kinds of sites so you want to be careful. But maybe I'm not understanding your goal.

yeah, that's exactly what I mean, and that legal issue is another thing that I'm worry about. can you tell me like is there any broadcasting live TV legal or any broadcasting is illegal, if it's the later case, then what can I do about it?

I'm not really sure about all the specific legalities but if I were you, I'd consider another niche.

I've never really understood what's niche.
Been searching for answers but nothing.
Let me browse more deep on 2CreateAWebsite.com

A niche is a narrowed subject that focuses on a specific audience. For example, my niche for 2create is beginners who want to create a website.
