Default SBI or hostgator?

Guys, once again, I wonder whether to get SBI or hostgator. After reading most of your reviews, I can see that SBI is a really great service, especially for a beginner like me. What stopped me before is the way ken wrote (really commercial), and looked sorta like a scam.

Can SBI be paid with my CIBC bank card? It doesn't have a visa logo on it...i'm really new to this stuff, since I just got my very own convenience card last month.

Thanks!

After using a regular host and using SBI, my personal opinion is that SBI is the best option, particularly for beginners, but only if you are truly committed to building a successful website. SBI isn't for everyone and only you can determine if it is right for you.

Ask yourself honestly just how committed you are to investing the time and effort it takes to build pages and pages of content. Will you take the time to read through the Action Guide and follow it?

If SBI were free it would be a no brainer, but at $299 you should only use it if you will get your money's worth out of it. That means hours and hours of work.

You have to put just as much effort into a regular hosted site, (quite a bit more actually) but you wouldn't be out as much money if it turns out not to be something you're willing to go the distance for.

Fabulous answer, Theresa. SBI! is great but a lot of people don't want to do the reading - and there is a lot of it. But the Action Guide is quite useful because it educates you on the CTPM concept (Content --> Traffic --> PREsell --> Monetization)

A friend of mine just bought it a couple of weeks ago and she now understands why her first site failed. She went straight to the "M" and began trying to add AdSense and all these affiliate programs BEFORE she had enough content and traffic. This is a common mistake many people make.

Do you need SBI! to teach all this? No, you could do it on your own but many people learn better when they have a step by step guide and the information is constantly re-inforced in your brain as you go through the process. Not to mention SBI! has the building tools, stats, WorldSubmitter, SiteMap generator and so much more.

Sounds good. I'm sold! After I save up enough cash that is.
