Last week I pointed out the yelling mascot on http://tumbleweedrestaurants.com/site-map.html

Which I though was pretty cool, But....

This blows me away:

The flying planes and messages, does anyone have any idea how you would do this, thats really really really cool haha!

Oh & btw, i just noticed the tumbleweed site apparently took their little mascot down, dunno why, maybe it scared people lol, it was like this caveman drawing that moved and yelled tumbleweed when you rolled ur mouse over it, oh well

Hello iwannabeinaband...some old friends of mine
had Spartenburg as their launching grounds way
back in the early 70's...GOD rest both their souls

so stick to it...the Carolinas have some very supportive
souls that can rocket you to stardom..so does Texas.

About all those flash animations and all...did you know
having all those animations that take a few to load up
can actually be a negative to your website?...

I used to use them years ago...not anymore....
but keep sharing those special animations..I like em...
but do the search engine bots like 'em?

I can barely get my mind around the coding issues of pulling new posts into a sliding graphics format. It is almost to good though because it was like one of those commercials with bikini babes where you are not sure what it is about, but it doesn't matter. (At least for some guys. I generally look at their smiles)

Owl City seems to be a band, right?

That is definitely a pretty elaborate Flash header. It seems to be pulling Twitter mentions into the plane banners. Or it could be forum posts?

In any event, something like that probably cost them in the thousands. Well it cost their label. And even though Flash SEO is supposed to be better these days, I'd still opt for good old HTML optimization for most typical sites.
