where i can find templates for RTL languages?
does anyone know where i can get website templates for Right to Left languages? if not, does anyone have any ideas on how to design a website through DW as such? basically, it would be just like a normal site, except everything is opposite (on the other side). any questions, please let me know. and any advice would be awesome. thanks.

If you just want text to be "RTL" then there is some special features for that in website coding languages I think. Also some CMS's have RTL text feature/plug-in Wordpress and MODx for example, especially for Arabic and such languages.
If you just want regular fixed-width template to be on right side, text also coming from right, then you can easily do it in dreamweaver or probably in any WYSIWYG editor. Just choose "Align Right" to everything you want.

good point. how about when you've already downloaded a template and the navigational list is on the left side... is there a way to move it (in DW for example) to the right side? this would be very helpful for RTL languages. any info would be great... thanks!!

You could move it to right side, but it might mess the design up. You would also have to rebuild tables/divs, so the menu would be on the right side. But it would probably be easier to just make your own custom template than make such change in existing template in many cases.

hey mentalclinic,
ok... (so sorry i'm bothering you with this, but it's really helpful!)... i guess you're right about how it's better to design my own... but now it all gets down to DW. do you know of any tutorial which can tell you how to do all this for DW? basically, a tutorial (that you would recommend and actually use) that would help me build the website? any info would be very appriciated! also, i'm really confused about the structure... i have content... but i need help on structure, index.htm files, etc. (maybe with some pictures, diagrams!) do you also know of any informative tutorials on that too? thanks again.

I have never done this, but I read somewhere that it works.
You need to use the DIR attribute to display text as left to right
<HTML DIR="RTL">
I think this one will work too. Not sure though.
<P DIR="RTL">
and when you write the display should look ok.
I think there is a CSS2 code to display bidirection scripts too.
All of these should work in DW. There again, I hand code almost all of my scripts. I do stuff the hard way.... and I like it. (sometimes)

It isn't that easy to make your own template, especially if you dont know anything about it at first. First few templates usually fuction and most likely look like crap also.
If you want to learn how to make one from zero, then if you want to just make basic template with no much graphical items then look into coding CSS and XHTML coding, if you want to make template with graphical elements you would also learn some CSS and (X)HTML and Photoshop (or something similar) aswell. Photoshop will do alot of work for you, you just have to make a image of how you want to make your site look, slice it, and export HTML/CSS template, then open this html file and optimize it, and make it work like you want.
