Default PhotoShop - Save for Web

Hi, When I've designed HTML pages I always design complete page in PS, slice it. Then use PS's Save for Web option to save it as a complete HTML page. After that mess with it in Dreamweaver, so it will function as it should, and you pretty much have a website if you didn't want to add anything more advanced.

Now, a lot of people are telling me that it's really bad way to make a website like this, as what photoshop does is basically just create a whole bunch of tables and fill them with images. I never really got into coding HTML as I've got what I need with other ways, WYSIWYG and other web programming languages have done the job so far.
Now somewhere it said that google doesn't like a lot of pointless and empty tables, that the main content should be in the left row of table etc.

So, I was thinking - if it really is that important then - How to optimize photoshop generated HTML page (How to optimize HTML tables) so google would like it?

I used Photoshop to generate the latest design change to my blog. I spliced the layout of my site, as you did, but I didn't let Photoshop create the HTML, I did that myself.

For me, my latest design uses tables, byt my previous one used DIVs. My content is on the left, while the navigation bar is on the right. I'm not sure how Google will react to my Web site, but that is something that I'll find out once I update my design.

I'll let you know if Google doesn't like my site.

Photoshop CS3, i think they have drastically improved the whole web system lots more integrated tools, but i would not recommend for anything but images, backgrounds, gradients etc

Save for web simply chops up your page into images regardless pf being able to edit text, so if you are one of those people who makes a site and then leaves it, this is for you! otherwise a big no no.
