Default Main Website Editing.

I used to think that you could edit your theme just by going to your main website and stuff, Is there a way where I could actually do that? Instead of having to edit your website's theme on your PC then upload it to your host and stuff. It's kind of annoying... Or is there a program, Doesn't matter if it costs money, Where I could modify my website easier?

Annoying as it may be, it's actually a good practice because you always have a local copy on your computer in case you mess something up on the live server. Plus it's always good to have a backup.

I remember when I first started learning how to create my websites some 11 years ago. I was using FrontPage and FrontPage allows you to open and edit the web files right from the live server. I screwed up something and didn't have a backup. Big lesson. It's always a good practice to work locally and publish to the remote server.

Okay, Thanks. But is there an easier program to use than Nvu for editing themes directly from your PC? Doesn't matter if I have to buy it, But which one would you recommend?

I should also mention, it will save the various Editibles into the final document, so be sure to remove before upload if you do this.

If you are editing PHP then Dreamweaver is one of the best out there. If you are doing HTML them Kompzer works just fine. However if you are using any of these in combination with Silverlight then the only editor out there at this time that recognizes the coding is Microsoft Expressions.

Default You can try...

You can try Style Master http://www.westciv.com/style_master/ . You could use your existing page and css sheet to visually design your css file if you want locally.

but your still gonna have to upload it sooner or later
