Can someone provide information on how to track traffic? A plug-in or some other way of tracking? Tracking Service?

Thanks...

I use Google Analytics and love it.

Or were you asking about tracking specific things/behaviors?

Google analytics is the best and free solution to track traffic. If you are using wordpress then you can paste analytics code in the footer just before the body tag. There are also some plugins for analytics that can help.

If you are talking about traffic prediction then I use keyword discovery. Word tracker is another popular solution for this purpose.

Default Great, Thanks!

I signed up for this and inserted the code into my WordPress blog... I'll wait the 24 hours to see if the code was inserted correct location... I put it in my Index.php... I'm thinking it doesn't matter so much where.... I know the site mentioned </body> which I think is in my Header.php.... but I put it in my Index.php anyway.... We'll see...

You can also use wordpress plugins for analytics, I have found this helpful plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...for-wordpress/

you can paste the code in this plugin after activating. But i will recommend to paste the code directly in the footer.php before the close of </body>tag.

Thanks

Default Thanks...

Well, I posted it directly to the code.... i prefer not to use plugins if at all possible, for a few reasons... I wont learn that way, and I'm not sure of all the code in them... That said... the yellow caution sign changed to a green check sign, so I think that means that it's all good with google... I will check later, after 24 hours to see if it takes...
