Fully Automated website
How difficult is it to create a fully automated website? What about customized a website that is already fully automated?

How do you mean "automated"?
Do you mean automatic content like from RSS or do you mean user submitted / generated content.

first response
Whatever you mean I have to note that my first reaction was that a "fully automated website" would only be a fully automated website until it wasn't, and that would probably come sooner than expected.
But to deal with your question seriously, I think people would need to know what kind of web site you are thinking about.

I am confused as well, not sure exactly what your asking.
Sounds like your talking about forum software? So why not use forum software?
Though it's not automated.
I was going to mention Wordpress, until you mentioned forums.

Okay, your talking about shopping cart software, least that's what that site is.
I currently use OScommerce myself and it works very well, not a problem. Only problems I ever have is when a product is not added correctly. It's also free.
The only drawback is that it needs some mods to make it good. Though there are tons of templates to make it look very nice, but they cost around $150-$180.
There are many others, but that is the only one I have experience with. I've also set it up for other people.

AFAIK Hostgator has it already to load, just go to your control panel and select "fantastico" You'll find a selection of scripts all ready to install.
You just have to enter a few details and the script installs automatically.
