Webdev, I like your design
Webdev, I hope you see this but I want to say I LOVE your site's design for your php site. I'm looking for a similar design and I was wondering how you created it. Don't worry I won't copy it exactly, but I like the layout, width, etc. Did you code it from scratch? I just bought dreamweaver and was wondering what's the best way to create a column layout like that.

I used photoshop to make the site logo. Basically i followed this tutorial to make the logo.

Rest of the design is based on CSS and HTML. I wrote that from scratch myself.
But in dreamweaver, you can choose site layouts g from there. They have different column layouts to get you started. I would suggest to look for tutorials on making templates in dreamweaver.
Here are some good pre-made professional templates that you maybe able to use.

Agreed. I like your design too Webdev. I finally broke down and started using Dreamweaver and I must say I love it. It just took some getting used to like anything else.

You should try using Inkscape. It's really user-friendly. It has complex scripts and it is free. And the cool thing is that it has a version for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

Lisa! So I take it you used Dreamweaver for your new design for 2create? It looks AMAZING! I love it!! I am still using FrontPage but I feel the need to switch after Vista was launched and FP being discontinued.

Thank you. Yes, I did use Dreamweaver. I bought the template online and then just used PhotoShop and Dreamweaver for customization. I love the Find and Replace feature across the entire site and THIS time I made sure every bit of my site is inside an include file with the exception of the body of course. Along with CSS and the includes, making global changes will be a breeze. (With over 130 pages, that's a must!)
I used CSS and includes before but only for certain sections. (Not to mention I was using Frontpage which added so much extraneous code it sort of made using CSS pointless) This time I made sure every section I may want to update globally is inside an include file.
But I am lovin' Dreamweaver.
The redesign seems to have done wonders for my traffic too. I hit the 6,000 visitor mark for the first time every on Tuesday. My highest had only been 5,500 before. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or what, but August is usually a low month. I need to analyze my traffic logs to see where the extra hits are coming from.

6,000 in ONE day. I'd settle for that in a month!! Like your new design too, Lisa.

I like your new site design too Lisa. I'm glad Dreamweaver is working out great for you. I still use good 'ol notepad, or something similar to design my site. Old habits die hard...I guess.

Oh wow, I have never been that confident in my coding. Well actually my HTML is pretty good, it's my CSS that needs work. One thing's for sure, you never have to worry about any extraneous code being written using Notepad.
