Default redesigning site - what is the likely home page impact?

I have a site I put together using word press, which has been my first attempt at designing, so a major learning experience. I now want to re structure the site, but I have one key concern. I initially put my blog on the homepage (50+ articles). I am now thinking of moving this to it's own pages and having a more descriptive/sales oriented home page. Will it mean all the blog post links won't work? If so, any ideas of how to go about doing this effectively.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

How you published your blogs on home page? Generally in word press we have an option to show all blogs on the home page and on parallel individual blog URL would be created for all the blogs that you posted check. If that is the case word press will automatically perform 301 redirection.

My suggestion just reduce home page weight & all article move in inner pages but some part of article mention in home page & link to full article web page.

this will help you a lot and improve your search ranking. ....like below website url.

If you start moving things around, make sure the url is the same, or use redirect. I didn't once and it cost me a lot of traffic!

Do you mean you wish to go into your WordPress settings and set a page as your homepage and a page as your blog post page ? If yes the answer to your question

"Will it mean all the blog post links won't work?"

The blog post links will now be found on this new page you will have set as your "blog" page instead of on your home page. So no worries, just make sure to link to this new blog page in your navigation bar like: about - contact - blog

Your homepage of course will be whatever page you set as a homepage in your WordPress admin. Best to just create a new blank page and design from there.

Thanks for the tips everyone. It took me a while to get around to it, but now sorted. You were right David, in the end it proved much easier than I thought. Just had to set a separate home page and blog page and everything moved to the right place. Phew!
