Default IS there anyway I can..

I have access to Dreamweaver and Photoshop (cs3 for both) and wonder if I can create a site from an image. This is to say, create a site by slicing up an image that looks like a site and adding code to the pieces.

The idea is to have greater artistic control of the web site.

Here is roughly what I'm talking about; If you follow the link ..

http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...te/bg-logo.jpg

..it will take you to a photobucket page with a picture of what I'd hope to make a website out of. ('Roughly' is the keyword for both my articulation of thought and the picture. YES, the sizes of things need to be played with but the 'rough' idea is hopefully gotten across.)

Thank you kindly,

FTaber

ftaber,

There is a way you can do this. You can either slice up images in photoshop or image ready. I prefer using photoshop. Here is a link to a tutorial that will show you how to do this: http://www.entheosweb.com/photoshop/slice.asp You'll also see links to the following:

Tutorial 1 : Creating a unique website header
Tutorial 2 : Designing your website layout in Photoshop
Tutorial 3 : Slicing your layout in Photoshop
Tutorial 4 : Creating your web site in Dreamweaver

After you slice up your layout, go to this link: http://www.entheosweb.com/photoshop/website.asp to see how to import your sliced up images in to dreamweaver and creating a site with them.

Also, look for tutorials on the following on that page:

Tutorial 1 : Creating a unique website header
Tutorial 2 : Designing your website layout in Photoshop
Tutorial 3 : Slicing your layout in Photoshop
Tutorial 4 : Creating your web site in Dreamweaver

Much obliged! I'll check these out.

I had a vague feeling that I could do this because I remember doing something like this in a computer class in high school but couldn't for the life of me remember how.

Thanks again,

Ftaber
