Default Lost Page on Local Site

Well here is what happened. I was using my FTP to work on some files. Meta tags tags etc. just a little house cleaning so to speak. I finally learned how to do some of that. Oops made a mistake somewhere. I went to view source pg for a page and another page came up that I had already worked on. What should I do? I can not make the changes now for the file. [somehow it appears things got crossed over]

Thanks for any help in this.

I sure am glad I found this site.

Are you using FileZilla by any chance? I had that same kind of weirdness happen with an old version of FileZilla. It basically changed the name of two files, making them appear to have overwritten code. If this is the case, then check your other files -- you may find what you're looking for!

Besides that, if it has been overwritten, I hope you have a backup to grab from?

Interesting. I thought it was just a fluke with my machine but this appears to be a real bug in the FileZilla software. I wonder if they're aware of it.

I hope you're able to recover the file. I recommend upgrading to the latest version of FileZilla. If you're already using the latest version, then we may try another FTP client to avoid this issue in the future. Here's a good list of some: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...ftp-client.htm
