Angry BCK GROUND MUSIC USING FTP?

I used an mp3 converter to convert my mp3 song to FTP, now that I have the file, i want to upload it to my html homepage. i want the music to play in the background, and i have a file manager on my page. I tried uploading the FTP file to my file manager, but it never goes through with it, i want to make my own music codes, yet i think im doing something wrong. what exactly am i doing wrong? am i missing a step? Help.. like today.

I am lost on this. How did you turn a MP3 into a ftp? since FTP is a protocol and not a program or valid media file. I would also like to point you to this post it could save you in the long run.

Recently, ASCAP signed a ground-breaking deal with MP3.com in precisely this fashion. However, after the implementation of this Act, there are now three potential tiers of licensing with which the hapless would-be music distributor would do well to become familiar. There is the license for performing the work (the same as in the non-Internet world, and handled by an organization like ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC), then there is the license for the digital performance right in the sound recording (often being handled by RIAA now), and the license for the distribution right in the phonorecord (a mechanical royalty like those handled by the Harry Fox Agency). The industry catchphrase these days is "one-stop shopping" and it doesn't exist. One must negotiate separate licenses on all three levels or risk the possibility of suit.

The steps to add your mp3 to your site should be:

1. convert your song into an mp3 format
2. upload (ftp) it up to your site
3. add the necessary code into your website's home page (usually index. html) to play the mp3 file when the page is viewed. (you'll need to edit this file and then upload it to the server again via ftp)

Try another ftp client, maybe filezilla or so. Mp3 can be easily added within a webpage using the embed tag.
