i was reading an article on dreamweaver and it was talking abt a P drive,W drive

different letter drives often refer to backup drives or server drive letters. That help article you pointed to has specific information relating only to users of Penn State university servers, so the W drive is relating to the server drive letter they have setup. Unless you are at penn state, this would not apply to you.
