FileZilla is a portable application and this is kicka$$ to anybody on the move.

You can put the full install on a thumbdrive and take it anywhere. If you have multiple sites this is a nice feature, it saves all the sites and there authentication info for your quickconnect feature.

I really like this app for this reason, and it simply works, no multi connect problems like some ftp apps, no mem. overhead or other problems just a clean working, functional ftp proggie.

I used to use Filezilla, but for some reason it doesn't work quite like it used to for me, so I use WinSCP and WinSCP for u3.

It's nice to have U3 programs since I use different computers a lot.

I will recommend Filezilla FTP program since it is easy to use and has an 'auto-resume' feature to which means when you have a large file uploaded and when it time-out, uploading it again will not start from the beginning but rather it will continue to wherever it stopped.

I use Filezilla also, the only thing I dislike about the program is sometimes it just fails to upload a certain file and the program just leaves it on the *not done* list, I would prefer if it automatically put it back into the *doing* list.

That would make life so much more easier

Good points:

- Works with large files and long lists of files.

- Aesthetically good looking.

- Auto Updates

- Good folder browsing so you can view your latest folders that you are uploading from.

- Multi-server upload

CuteFTP is also good, but I use Filezilla or FTP in cPanel on server

Personally, I just use IE (ftp.yourdomain.com). Works fine for me.

Nothing beats FireFTP as far as I'm concerned. I even have a shortcut button on my browser and it fires up the FTP feature in seconds without having to type anything in, close my browser window or launch another program.

Yeah it's a plug-in for Firefox so if you're a Firefox user than it's perfect. Someone on this forum actually recommended it once. That's how I found out about it.
