Default Am I missing out on something?

I have little traffic at the moment. I have a twitter for my site but not a Facebook. A lot of people say they get very little traffic from twitter but more from facebook.

Am I missing out on some traffic from Facebook?
Consider the fact that even 3 visits a day from Facebook would be good. I am talking about fan pages not for personal use. And I don't think I would get many from my site because I have very low traffic.

    Is there any point?

What to lose? Time. I don't know if it's worth it or if I should spend the time promoting my site in other ways. Plus I already have twitter whitch is fine but it doesn't bring much traffic. It's good for comunitating though.

Facebook offers some advantages over Twitter. I think you can more actively engage people on Facebook. You can post pictures, comments, and like people's links and updates to keep the conversation going. You can also set up your Facebook account so that it posts your updates to Twitter automatically, too. It takes a little time, but is worth the effort, IMHO.

I would prefer to go for Facebook as compared to twitter, But do keep in mind that make good friends there and then start sharing their your business there.

Yes. To me, Facebook has an upper edge because of:
    - Facebook ads - Twitter currently doesn't have any built-in advertising platform
    - Better content sharing capability - Facebook lets you share not just limited text (140 characters) and text based links but pictures and videos too.

Twitter has a potential too, I would not argue. It's good that you are active there. But Facebook rules the roost!
P.S- A mere Facebook profile does not guarantee traffic. You need to be alive and kicking on social media interfaces.

To get more traffic to your website ... Facebook and twitter is good but for that you must have a good profile with lot's of friends as for the twitter. Digg , stumbleupon are the best site for the same you must use these too..

I tend to get more traffic from Facebook to my personal blog...can't really speak for website atm because I'm not advertising it. But with 1200 friends (courtesy of Mafia Wars and Evony for half of that number), even though not everyone sees my status, I have received a few curious people who wanted to see the blog.

Considering I only have 7 followers on Twitter, I'm not using that to my advantage quite yet. Unless I want to advertise I'm half blind from reading CSS tutorials this morning.

But trust me, with Facebook, you can easily find friends from high school and/or church and/or college...and get a little bit more traffic and maybe re-connect with people from your past.
