I actually have this theme used in the past for awhile only exception I used the blue one and modified the leather background a bit hehe. one thing I found out about this particular theme it's not very seo friendly you might want to keep that in mind.

Since I don't have any knowledge of gaming and all its particulars, I can't speak to the various technical aspects of how gamers would relate to your new site. However, the visuals are extremely appealing and easy on the eye. If your sense of the aesthetic is any indication of how the rest of the site plays out, then I'd say you've created something that will do quite well.
