Hi Everyone

This is a new blog I recently started, trying to target "Christmas Shopping" niche. Please look over the blog, tell me what you think.

Looks really spammy. Looks like a very small amount of content put together with lots of Google Adsense ads surrounding the small amount of content you have. It is interesting how you included a hyperlink to your URL with the keywords "Christmas shopping". Obviously, you know a bit about SEO. Looks like you're not really interested in feedback, but want to spam this forum with a post with 6 hyperlinks, 5 to valuable keywords. I would suggest you focus your efforts first on creating content and traffic. Than focus your efforts on monetization.

There are quite a few ads on this blog. Too many for my taste. It does sort of look like you are more concerned with making money than providing value. Of course everyone's goal is to make money but you don't want your blog to be so obvious. I would minimize the Google ad units and certainly go easy on those large banners near the bottom of the page.

I would also beef up the design and work on customizing the theme more. The generic blogger templates with no headers sort of make the blog seem very generic. You'll be amazed at what a nice header will do for the overall look.

I did remove your keyword link since you already posted a link to the blog. There really is no need to provide two links to your site in a post. When people do that it does make us wonder about your original intentions. So just keep that mind for future posts. Thanks for understanding.

Tonye,

Sorry if I came accross as harsh. This is really good and thoughtful advice that Lisa has given you. I wish you the best of luck Tonye with all your future entrepreneur efforts.

as others have stated, your blog has a lot of Ads.

One suggestion I would like to make is to take out the ad above "blog archive" on the left side. There are plenty of ads other places. Also I would take the present picture on the left side, and move it to the right.

So when viewers come to your page, they automatically see your blog archive list of topics. Instead of having to scroll down a bit, to see it. Hope that helps!

What method were you testing? Put as many ads as possible on your blog? I think you are on the right track however in trying to add more more content and remove ads. That's interesting that you've made some money with your blog. I'd be quite interested in where you get your traffic from. My blog is fairly new and currently no search engine gets no search engine traffic and makes hardly anything in Google Adsense. Right now, pretty much the only traffic I get is through my signature posting to this forum. Your more than welcome by the way for the feedback.
