Default Rate me on a scale of 1 - 10

I created two sites and have been blogging for about 2 months. I'm wondering if you'd be so kind to take a quick look at them and rate them. I would like to eventually support myself through my sites.

So with 10 being the highest - how do you think I'm doing?

All feedback is welcomed!

I honestly like both your sites. Now mind you, I was more into the content than the 'looks' of them, although the first impression was positive. Your writing held my attention. I could tell you really, really, like football. LOL. There are more seasoned websters around here who can tell you about the tech side of it.

Well, anybody who roots for the Blue gets a gold star in my book I haven't looked them over thoroughly enough to give you a rating, but on a quick glance they're way better than most first sites I've seen.

Both sites project professionalism. I am not a web technician, my suggestions are from a lay perspective.

The color scheme on the one site seems a bit sedate when your expressed intent is to inspire? Inspiration is a total sensual experience, i.e. (5) five senses. It is as if you are setting the table for a meal to be consumed by a very special invited guest.

If the eye appeal is real, our mind will reveal, the anticipation of a taste bud tantalizing meal.

On your sports site, with do consideration to my own personal preference, to me it is always a bit cumbersome to have to make the slide adjustment to view the entire framed content. The more convenient all available information is offered, the less distracted I would be from digesting the page content.

Again I am not tech savvy, just a lay opinion offered with sincerity. We do rate you a big plus, job well done.

Respectfully,

thedrknight

Thank you very much for the feedback. What is the ideal width of a site? I've seen different things here and there. Right now mine is set at 1150px - seems like that might be a bit wide for most folks....thoughts?

Both of your sites look great.
As for the width. Most people monitors are set higher than 1000px wide from my experience. Most of my visitors are well above 1000px. My monitor is at 1400 so your site looks good to me. I have had complaints that my site was too wide and its only 945px wide. I guess you can't please everybody.
Good Luck with both of your sites.
