Default Revamp

I originally put this bog together to test/practice my SEO, though it's starting to see increasing traffic so I thought I should really do something about it.

I'm kicking myself now because if I created a wordpress version of this blog I could have taken it a lot further.

Blogger is much more restrictive!

Anyway just after your opinion guys.

Plan on adding a gallery and a few other pages but for the most part it's almost finished.

Thanks in advance for all your feedback!

This is one of the best looking blogger hosted blogs I've seen in a LONG time!! Wow.

Your font is little small. It seems everyone is using at least 14pt these days so it always looks so tiny when I see anything less. Also, the right side of your header looks a little bare. Even if you just add more links to your top nav that may balance it more.

Great job John!

Looks real good. Can't get much better than this. You can maybe add more google ads and like Lisa said, more links in your top menu to balance it out. Besides that can't think of anything else. You got a really good site on your hands.

Good looking site. I like the colors.

Question to anyone: can't you transfer blogger to WP and keep things intact?

Default Transfering to Wordpress

I could shut down that blog and transfer the articles to a new wordpress blog, but I lose all the link juice that I have created and the high ranking keywords on Google and therefore traffic.

In any case the blog served its purpose which was to teach me SEO concepts and strategies, give me a much better understanding of keyword research and search engine generated traffic.

I will still post to it, though from what I have learned I think I will look at creating some niche blogs in other areas and probably target slightly more competitive keywords.

This time using a Wordpress blog.

Thank you for all your valued opinions!

John
