I like the texture of your buttons in your left nav. You may want to make them a bit bigger to prevent the text from hanging off some but that may be me being extra picky.
My concern is the that the orange-ish color text on the brownish background may not be as easy on some eyes. I can see it fine, but you have to think about others who may have trouble with it since the contrast is minimal.

Thats a nice site, I love the colors. There not to bright, not to dark and they dont over power each other. I would agree with Lisa, the button texture is nice. It gives it a mahogany feel and look to them. I would suggest you remove your email address and replace it with an image of your email address. This will prevent spam.
I like what everyone is saying. I have struggled with trying to make it "feel" good to all...I think some colors are different on some computers than others so it's interesting to hear the different moods it sets for some of you...either good or bad...
I want to make the buttons bigger on the left..I just don't know how? I have tried a few things in the past but I will try some more...I do like it so it's one of those things I am still working on....
I do like the idea of adding a japense symbol to this as well...... I have in the past...I will add it back again...thanks everyone..I love the input..I welcome more if anyone else can share...
