I have recently set up my personal portfolio site and blog. I'd like to get some info on what you think of my site (Home, portfolio and contact page) and my blog (theme/readability). Especially the lightbox feature I have for my portfolio. Also I am looking for ideas for blog articles - not just in web design. Feel free to makes suggest anything that would deal with technology issues.
I love the layout of the first site.
The homepage is straight to the point. You don't have to hunt around the home page to try to find out where you can go or what you can do. The light colored links on the darker background makes them easy to be seen and very user friendly.
My only suggestion is about the layout you used for your blog. I have seen the decoder layout used so many times online. It seems that people flock to it because it is one of the few dark layouts on wordpress themes that has the right side sidebar. Changing it up a little bit will help set your blog apart from others who use the decoder layout.

decoder theme - you're absolutely correct as there are very few dark themes. Would I benefit from tweaking that theme ( add my own header image and stuff like that) or try and do my own theme? I definitely wouldn't be against making my own theme, I just have school and then other projects that I am being paid to do that take up my time. Thanks
