Very effective use of your text. Short. Concise. Informative.

The top drew my attention immediately; great job.

Default A few suggestions

Especially for a sales page you have to be very careful about spelling and grammar. Note the second "you" which should be "your" in the line, "Do you want to make money with you music?" Also, I would question the use of "Wanna" instead of "Want to." You want to be personable, but you still need to sound as professional as possible when you are asking for people's money.

Then I think I would look at the images, especially the cd in a hand. It is a little ragged around the edges. If you compare this page graphically to your home page I think you will see a difference.

I also think it would help to identify more clearly what you are offering. Because the links are to clickbank, I assume it is for an ebook.

Finally, I have to ask you whether you are really familiar with the product. It is evidently put out by GetPutOn which is the name of your links although they all point to the clickbank connection. When I look at the GetPutOn site I find a very professional site but a very slick one with the kind of sales presentation that causes me to run fast with my hand on my wallet! If you want your site to be trusted you have to be careful what kind of affiliate sales you promote.

I'm in agreement, so I edited it and made it clear that it's an ebook

James I have a indie record label and thus I'm familiar with various books and other info that's needed, and this e-book offers all of those topics. I haven't bought it myself...and I know that goes against many people's rules, but the thing I stress to the readers of my site is to gain knowledge of the industry and how it works, so I'm interested in them getting that knowledge in an outlined way(don't hurt to get a commission either) period. I recommend this product, and refer them to bookstores, website, etc, and just stress to them that they must learn some kind of way. I also make it clear that it's easy to START a label, but SUCCESS depends on their efforts.

The reason the page is so simple is because to get there, one has to click a link from an article that I wrote for a 3rd party site for which I've gone into greater detail about the product and different knowledge that you need in the music business. Articles within my site don't go to the landing page, they go straight to the ebook for ordering. I want it short since I want people to click the link and let the company do the true sales pitch...plus I can't sell from my page, so I'm trying to get them there faster.

I'm like you in regard to the slick sales page, but per my research, it appears that those slick pages work on targeted traffic which my article + landing page + ebook page is targeted.....If my way of thinking is wrong, please point in the right way....again I appreciate you all, and sorry for this long response.

Default Just two things.

Since you asked me to respond back to your response...

First, as you pointed out yourself:

Quote:
I haven't bought it myself...and I know that goes against many people's rules
How do you really know the quality of this work if you haven't even read it? If I were to offer a product like this, or of any kind, I would research carefully by getting reviews and asking on various forums, etc., for recommendations. Then I would buy and compare the top two or three. Only then would I choose to sell one.

With this process I would be able to personalize my sales page in at least two or three spots with comments like, "I found the discussion on .....to be one of the most helpful I have read anywhere." This sense of reality in your recommendation is what gets people to click through to the product. It is one thing to get people to your page. It is another to get them to go further.

Second, I still would have a problem associating myself with someone who does business as this site does. If everything on their site is truthful, my apologies, but it does not sound believable. For example, just today they say:

Quote:
I will only offer this program to 5 more participants! After which time, Our How to start a Rap Record Label Guide will no longer be available.
According to them, the recording folks are so flooded with business from people using their system they have to limit sales of their book! Perhaps we should just send all the GM folks over there for jobs and save the country from a big expense bailing out the car industry. Just being facetious, but I think you get the point. If this is true you are wasting your time trying to sell a book that will probably be off the market before the day is over.

If the ebook really is good, after you check it out personally, and if you still want to sell it for that reason (from personal knowledge), I would put a caveat on my page. Something like: the publishers of this book employ some "high pressure" sales terminology in their promotion for this book which I would not use myself, but the content of the book is excellent so I do recommend it as being the best I have found."

Your own reputation is more important than any temporary sales you may make from one product. In the long run it is your integrity that will produce results. The truth is, honest comments like this can build sales not hurt them, so don't think it would be harmful, either. Pointing out any weakness in a product can be as helpful as pointing out strengths. In truth, it is always better for them to know beforehand than after they buy if you want customer satisfaction.

One of the strengths of Lisa's work is a good example. If SBI does not seem appropriate for some potential buyers she warns them off by pointing out that it might not be the best product for their needs. This only increases her recommendations for many others and builds her reputation for all of her projects.

I like the simple, clean design. One thing I didn't care for though was the different fonts. I like the fact you made the font size smaller in the paragraphs but I think it should be the same style as the font in your bullets.
