hi
it really is a well designed site with a nice theme, and I don't see any readability issues that need changing.
good job and good luck

Great work.
Very professional work. Good choices of colors and combining various image/text elements.
The only thing I thought of right off was that I might tighten up the header a bit to keep a little more material above the fold, but I am not certain I would do that without actually trying it to see what I thought.
I am sure the site can do well.

I'm a big boxing fan...and the only boxing sites I like are not free. I dig your site? It's real nice...It's actually a lot of things that I want my site to be. This can't be your first site. How do you go about getting your news?

This is your first ever site?! Wow Excellent!
I understand where James is coming from, about trying to keep more info above the fold, but that's only a minor tweak. It looks very professional, and all I can do is encourage you to promote your site as much as possible.
Good luck

The thing is, you should try to spread the word of your site. For example, comment on popular blogs related to your topic, join forums etc etc.
By the way, I don't mean become a spammer If you leave good comments, it will attract people to your site.
That is only one of many ways you could try to improve traffic, but yes, it will take lots of time and lots of hard work. Good luck

you know
I have literally read more then 50 ebooks, and 100s of ebooklets all talking about traffic and "Search Engine Optimisation" all speaking about how hard it is to create traffic, but I never took that for granted.
Now I can say creating traffic is EASY from my personal experiment my site has been up for 11 days now and my homepage has been viewed 230 times I myself made 28 of them so actually I have 202 visits in 11 days, and I am ranked for a few keywords in google's 1st page.
So, don't worry about traffic too much, just do your homework and add more content and submit to the directories, post in forums, comment on blogs, and it will eventually benefit you a lot, and good luck

Nice blog, well I don't have nothing to say because your blog is a premium revolution magazine blog, the only thing I can say is that you forgot to modify your " about", also on the sidebar you haven't add your Google Adsense code yet and your blog is showing [ R] favicon which belongs to Revolution remove that. Your blog is designed to be used as a magazine blog or news blog, but overall it looks very professional I like it!

Deftone,
I checked your blog code and it appears that your " about page" is located in the " header.php page"
Here is an example of your blog code:
<div id="navbar">
<div id="navbarleft">
<ul id="nav"> <li><a href="http://the-fight-site.com">Home</a></li>
<li class="page_item page-item-2 current_page_item"><a href="http://the-fight-site.com/?page_id=2" title="About">About</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
The bold code is the " about" code, remove it if you can't find the page
Try to take a look to your header to see if you can find this code, also since this is a page try to search for that page otherwise delete the code to eliminate the about page.
Once more thing, you should change the way permanent links are displayed when a post is opened. This is how your posts looks when it's opened [http://the-fight-site.com/?p=217] this is not good for Google.
You should change it to look like the one below, that format makes it easier to index your posts in Google engines.
My Blog: [http://jrpcrepair.com/2008/11/11/sch...gle-calendar/]
Note: This is not a promotion since my blog appears in my signature, this is only a demonstration of the permanent link
