I use FireFox - when I click the link you provide, I am asked if I want to Open or Save the file!

Edit:

It seems your index page only contains this:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"><html><head><title></title></head><body></body></html>

hmmm... I think I fixed it. For some reason it was trying to open the .htaccess file as my homepage, but when I deleted the file my include still works.

Not sure what you were trying to do with that file so you may need to check to make sure you had it right according to whoever told you to put it there, if it does need to be there, but it is definitely displaying OK now on the main page.

But not on other pages. This is because you are linking to the stylesheet on your own computer. Replace the href info to match the location of the CSS file stored on your server.

If it was the website listed in your signature, the sub pages don’t format correctly. Could be the SEO script you are using, or even a css problem. I have seen that in Joomla sites if the .htaccess file is not correct.

Great start!

Yep, it's definitely CSS - the link to the stylesheet is wrong...

Default One thing for sure.

Don't have time to look too carefully now, perhaps later.

But I did notice that images were loading slowly. This is not good, obviously. So I took a minute to look at your source file on one picture and noticed that you did not resize the file to fit your space. Consequently the file was at least twice as big as needed, maybe more.

Once you decide on the space you want to fill you should use a graphics program (Irfan View is a free download and easy to use—many Photoshop users even use it for resizing it seems) to resize your pictures to the size you set in the html. This will cause your pictures to load much faster, twice as fast for the picture I looked at, for example.

@Rocketchess:
- First of all your Google left ad has to be blended with the grey color, try to match the colors.

- Second: Some pages has not been defined, let say http://www.novelsforfun.com/books/Pendragon.html This page says "Untitled Document" try to fix that. Check all your pages because I found more of pages with "Untitled Document"

- Third:
Try to elaborate more on your contents, you're offering to little information about the books.

Overall the site is getting there!

Thanks

Default the point in a review

the trick behind reviewing is to tell your visitors about a book and its contents
and as a new website people don't trust you yet

so I think you should first of all read the book you are reviewing thoroughly and
your goal should be to convince your audience that the book is really worth it

Like the concept... just need more content and organization. I did not see any actual reviews... only summaries of the story line. Was this intentional?
