Hows my site?

I dont get alot of visitors, but usually seeing like 2-5 makes me happy, but I would like them to register and become members and stuff. I know it takes time, so I'll be patient, I've started the site about 2-3 weeks ago.

The site is about a game called BVE Boso View Express, I love this game, cause it has New York City subway routes in it, and I figured I'll create a site about the game. There are a lack of sites that are based on this game, so I thought it would be a good idea.

I've placed Google Ads on this site, but they're not making anything :/ Could they better blend with the site? Or is it enough already, Am I placing too much ads?

Interesting site. My first impression was that it is a bit busy and I wasn't sure what to read when I arrived. With only 2-5 visitors that's not going to make you any money or get sign-ups. You need at least 200-300 visitors to start seeing some decent activity (just an estimate).

Also the focus of your site seems to be all over the place. On your homepage you talk about BVE but then I clicked "Tutorials" and found some info on downloading Firefox?

You may want to narrow your focus a bit and just concentrate on one topic. It will help your search engine traffic if you just focus on one theme.

Think about it, people come to your site because they are interested in BVE. So that means they play this video game. Why not put more info on your site about playing video games? You have to think like your visitors otherwise people will get lost and confused.

It said how to download using Firefox, nothing about downloading Firefox, but I have taken that out to keep the peace between the "browser wars", and to avoid any confusion.

I dont understand what you mean here, do you mean like try to focus on this genre of games? I try to do that in the forums though.

Umm aren't these last 2 posts ^^ Spam?

Anyway, the upload feature is for user/member content, they are free to upload any of their files to the server, which later on in the future I will post in a downloads section.

As for your site, I gete "404 Page Not Found" on the "What Is BVE?" page, you may want to correct this.

I also notice that your home page and upload page are somewhat different. The home page is off to the left while the upload page is centered. You may want to pick a location to show your page to make your site more consistent and fluid for the user.

I think you've done a fine job, ipaclansite! You could change the font color to black, since the background is gray and some people might have problems in reading this. Also it it seems as if you've crammed many things into a small space, for example the links and the text. It looks too congested. You could space them out. Also, your font-size is too big. It seems as if its trying to overpower the visitor (me, in this case). You could also decrease the size.
And oh yeah, some times the white text overlaps with the background image of that train. This make s reading some words difficult. You might want to correct that!

About the adsense ads, i think that the bottom one doesnt blend in with the content. Try making the background of the ad the color of the site's background.

To TechieGuy: The 404 error you get only happens when you click the Upload section and then the What is BVE? I'll try to fix this ASAP by having the link go to the actual http:// or whatever it is instead of simply the page there. Thanks for reporting this broken link for me!

To siyab: Thanks for your suggestions, I guess I'll ask the current members whether they want it black or not, if they do then back to source code editing for the entire site

I like the concept of your site. I don't know much about that video game but if there are a bunch of followers you have the potential of building a nice niche site for BVE followers. I would much rather see people create niche sites like this than generic video game sites.

Thanks for the encouragement, I personally think taking on a general video game website is way to much to handle, focusing on a game I like, and doing something about it, something I learned from you reading your articles

Absolutely! Rather than trying to rank #1 for video games (a super competitive word) you'll have a much better chance at getting traffic from people searching for things related to BVE. Not to mention, you'll have much more fun updating your site.

i notice that you have tutorials and information on OpenTTD too. That used to be my favorite game a few months back!! The tutorials are good!
