All I can say is that I love it
I'm having a really good time reading your blog and I love what you have to say.
I would recommend a different blog theme later on to help set your site apart, maybe something cute and vector like as this.
I don't think you should worry about the niche being tight enough, I think it's great and users visiting will expect a variety of topics.

Actually this is sort of a temporary layout, since in less than two weeks I'mma roll out a Halloween Themed layout. I really like that suggestion, though! I'll possibly poke my artist into considering it <3
