Default First site?

This is my first site.
I tried it out on a "free" host just to see what I had.
I am going to get a paid host soon (I hope).
I am still working on this site, but I would love to get some input from someone else.

Site looks pretty good. Didn't have time to look too far today, but I did see one thing that really turned me off. Some of your links are to sites I wouldn't begin to recommend so I would hesitate to tell people to follow your recommendations.

Example: some of the html tutors are promoting deprecated tags and the like. One even admits to having been written in 1994. The web world can get dated in a few months if not less. But forgetting the date, the content is clearly obsolete in areas even a novice would notice.

I would work on that first.

I might add that I would take down the notice that you are just under construction. You have enough content to not need that and it is generally not good anyway.

This is a nice start. One thing I noticed is on your HTML editors page, in Firefox 3 the WYSIWYG EDITORS text is covering up your first paragraph so you might want to check into that. I agree with the under construction message. That's not really necessary.

Thanks for the link to 2create by the way.

I notice your site uses frames. I would remove the frames and just go with a single page for each link.

Nice start. You can develop more skills and make your site rich. I dont see any problem with Firefox. I am using FF 3.0.1

Well if this is your first try than I am really impressed. My simple suggestion whatever you want to do ... do it your own domain and host. Benefit is this will be only yours and in future you can capitalise them.

Now every visitor coming at there is your cometitior visitor if you see it with the purview of future. So stop waisting time at there and buy a domain, host and start the professional work.

Best of luck

Thats a really good website you have there. I like how you tried it on a free host first, im very impressed with your website.

I only have one suggestion and its nothing to do with your layout or content but your name, have you thought of having a name that covers website building in general? You could maybe call it incomeonline.com or somthing, then your not limiting what you can achive from your website.

Its seems kind of cluttery to me, and that image with the girl on the computer is low quality. I'd change that for a better one.

I felt that too, that's why is went back to my 1st design. I don't think its as clustered as the other one.

Not bad for first site. Try to improve the design by using rich contents like CSS. Left button set should be changed.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I may redesign my page and use a template, but not anytime soon.

I am now working on a blog on horror movies from the 80s to now.

http://doulikehorrormovies.blogspot.com/
I don't have much there yet and would like some help and suggestions with building a blog also.

It's getting there. The one thing I would advise is to create your text as text and not as an image. If you seek search engine traffic then the search bots need more food to index rather than an image which they can't do...even with alt tags it's best to use text over imaged text. Hope that helps. Best of luck.
