Your design is nice, just the text boxes are not very nice just having black or grey does not work. Try implementing some CSS here and see what you can do have a play around with it.

Thanks for your comment,
Yeah I'm still working on the text boxes and trying to get them to look nice and fit in to the look of the site more.
I'm building some of my own text boxes in photoshop to use on my site to make them fit in with the overall design more.

Also I've been playing around with the top logo banner/header/navigation bar and the bottom copyright banner too but only with little changes to the look of it so returning visitors will recognise it and not mistake it for a completely different website.

Thank you, Your comment was much appreciated

One thing I noticed is that your pages all seem to be different. You may want to create a template and base all your pages off that template.

This helps keep a uniform feel for your visitors.

Thanks for the comment TechieGuy, I did wonder about that, one thing I was wondering though, Is it ideal to have every single page exactly the same size in height?

The height can change as it is dependent on your content.

You should, however, keep such things as the location of your navigation and content the same between pages. For content you should keep the same look and feel with regards to your fonts.

Thanks for that TechieGuy, Yeah thought the height size of the page would be dependant on the content but just wanted to check.

Just started working on a few templates that I can adjust the height on, going to make a few slightly different looking ones to so I can rotate them occasionally to give my site a fresh feel every so often.

Also I've almost finished building some text boxes to use too and I'll change the layout of the contents and fonts in the next major update at the end of this week but still will be updating the actual site contents tomorrow evening as planned.

Default Needing Help with my Website

Hi everyone!

I'm an ESL teacher and created my this website for English language learning. I am having problems with my forum when using internet explorer. I wanted to view some posts and when I do, the screen view shrinks and I can not scroll down. A friend of mine also said he has problems registering. My forum uses html code from hyperboards.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks so much!

Hi sarasason

Just had a look at your site and had the same problem when trying to register, I tried with Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7 and they both had the same problem, the registration box only displays User name and Password but you can't enter any more required information other than that,

Internet Explorer 7 reported an error on the page, sorry I don't know much about actual HTML coding myself as I use a couple of programs to design my site with and it manages all the HTML coding for me.
One other thing I did notice though was that once I had the registration page on my screen I couldn't look at other areas of your site because the navigation menu stopped working.

You might find that asking for help in the HTML, PHP, Javascript & Other Web Programming section of the forum very helpful.

Oh btw your site looks nice.

Good luck with fixing them issues.

Hi guys,
I haven't been able to get on here in a while due to looking at different ways of having my website online and also I am now on a proper hosting server which includes a lot of software in the plan.
I have now also changed my approach to my website as I seemed to be spending more time redesigning it than actually getting content on it.

I now use Joomla which makes updating the content so much quicker and easier, I got so many mixed reviews from people about the site design it almost worked out that 50% liked the designs and 50% didn't like the designs that it got a bit confusing on what to change next.

Anyway have a look and let me know what you think of the final site layout (i would say design but I didn't design it), the only thing I intend to change in the future is the site template, I will be looking for one that's unique in future.

Hi Safe Sites...I never had the chance to see your old design but I do like this one...it's clean and quite informative. Good stuff SS...the only one critique I may have is that it took a while to open the site when I clicked on your link. If I was just another surfer I would have closed my browse and moved on...you may want to see why the front page is so heavy and tweak that issue somewhat. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem so it just may be me. Other than that i think it's great... All the best.

I noticed one thing, in that the text is spilling into the blue area on the right of the main page. I'm using Firefox 2.

I had FF3 but downgraded again because the bookmarks thing was all screwed up.

My res is 1280 x 1024 on 19" widescreen

1689 x 1050 on 20"? And you can read what's on the screen? Wow!
