My site is only about 60% done but I published it and wanted to get your opinions. I still have to add pictures and more content. This is the very first site I have ever created. I am kinda proud because I know very little about building sites.
There are a few things I would consider changing up a bit.
The header has a lot of height. Looks good but I would tighten it up a bit.
There are quite a few places where there is much too much white space. Most people make things too crowded, but you have gone the other way. Especially around the h1 headers (titles) on some of the pages and at the bottom of each page between the copyright banner and the Website Tonight box.
It is probably not a good idea to use an underline as you do on the Resorts page since that is reserved for links as a rule (even though a lot of us remove lines there, too). I would us bold or italics (in html use strong or emphasis for that effect).

but some points to consider:
1. A little too much white background. It's a little like home walls without paintings.
2. I personally don't like lots of text at the homepage. If I want to know in a glimpse what your site is about, and you want to attract my attention and make me interested quickly, big blocks of text won't do the work.
3. The "About" section usually is placed in a page of its own.
Its exciting isnt it? Your first website! I remember writing my first website back in 97. I saved it to a 3 and a quarter inch floppy disc then ran around workstation to workstation at my job showing everyone! Ahh the memories
Your site is off to a nice start. I think some pictures mixed in with your artcles would go a long way. Also maybe bring down the bold print a bit or lowering the font, after reading a couple of pages i started to get a little eye strain.
