    Default 5 years

Five years ago, I knew I wanted to start a website. I knew that I had a message to get out, but I had no idea how to create a website. So, after watching the 2006 Super Bowl, I came across Go Daddy (had to check out what those crazy commercials were about). I ended up buying a domain name and using Go Daddy's Website Tonight Website Builder to make my first website. It was bad. The site no longer exists.

However, in the meantime, while I was building that site, I was researching online about how to create a website. That's when I found Lisa! She was the first real "authority" that I connected with online. I understood her content, it made sense to me, and I adopted her philosophies when creating my next website.

    That website is http://www.yougoprobaseball.com.

It has now been live for 5+ years now. Using Lisa's philosophies I have grown this website into something great without any knowledge of how to create a website in the beginning. I learned everything from watching videos online, reading, and asking questions (mostly on Lisa's sites )

The problem I'm having now (well, maybe it's not a problem) is that my site is crashing. I am on an unlimited shared hosting plan through Go Daddy, but I'm getting so many people to the site at one given time, I'm getting a 500 error a lot.

My question is, what's my next move? Virtual Server? Dedicate Server? Managed? I'm not sure about any of this...

    Lisa, what do you use?

Also, any tips from the rest of you after reviewing my site would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!

Once your website is making enough to justify the costs of a VPS, get VPS level hosting.

If you have no idea what you're doing, get MANAGED VPS hosting. It costs $39-49 dollars a month. Your website also loads super slow, so use an online tool too like "website speed test" as well to make sure you're serving up your website content requests to users in the most efficient way possible.

Your site looks great. I would implement 2 themes: Day Game (light theme) and Night Game (Dark theme).
