hey there guys,

I haven't checked this forum in a while... or haven't done much of anything in a while really... But it's all for good reason! I decided to start a little business, and I'd appreciate some input. I'm going to be offering website design, local ebay reselling, hosting, etc....

I'd appreciate any input from those of you who've tried something like this. What works, what doesn't, what kind of legal stuff should I post...

Anywho, here is the site: YellowAeroplane.com

Let me know what you think! It's still being built, but the structure is basically complete.

thanks in advance!

Wow, wow, wow, wow. What a cool looking site. I like how you chose 3-4 colors and stuck with that them throughout. And I like the effect you used on your top nav links. Is that CSS?

Hard to find anything to critique except maybe the search box. Just seems out of place and lonely way up there. I think it would look better in the left nav. Also your font size on the site-design page seemed kinda small... especially since you have such large graphics everywhere else. I would bumb that up a size or 2.

Nice job Johnny!

Default Some good work.

I like the looks of what you have done so far. I assume you will be adding some text under the two boxes. A couple of things might help.

Like Lisa, I don't think the search box works too well. If you really have to have it up there I would move it to the far right. I think it would be noticed there a little more. For clarity (small point) I would probably label it "site search" rather than just "search."

One thing I really would change relates to the navigation. I like the effect you have but when it opens up the faded effect is a little too much so. Makes it hard to read.

Additionally, when reference to something like the Firefox use is on the page it would ordinarily be placed at the bottom of the page. Probably a good practice.
