Part 2! Up for Review!

Hi everyone,

I had posted here when I first began, and I have been 'tweeking my site ever since

I'm hoping the improvements I've made lend for a better site experience, so please feel free to stop on by (www.QuotesInSight.com) and offer some tips and feedback as to the overall look and feel and user experience. It would be greatly appreciated on this round 2 of review

On a positive note- I am excited to announce that my alexa ranking has improved from a 5,700,000 to: 3,182,716 YAY!

Kerry,

I think your site is great! The first page really pulled me in and made me want to read quotes on other pages.

The only thing I can think of is that there are banner ads that break up your quotes and that feels kind of akward when I'm trying to scroll down and look at the quotes.

I know your site is off to a fantastic start and I see only success for you!

Hi Kerry

I like the alphabetical listing of quotes but noticed some "page cannot be founds" Is that because you don't have quotes for some letters? Not sure that's a good idea from a search engine point of view when they follow those links and get the error page.

Also it might be a good idea to create anchor links at the top of all your Quotes pages that drop people down to the quotes in case they don't want to read your intros.

I'm hoping to have all of my pages up and running by end of may/beginning of june, but point well taken Lisa re: page not founds

As for anchors, not quite sure how to use but I will definitely read up on it-thanks

Kerry you have a real nice site. One favor I might ask. Could you place some poker quotes on your site?

Hi Kerry

I am new to Adsense and will be joining SBI shortly. Almost everything I have read and seen or heard, you have done. Great job.

As far as the alphabet links, I would leave the letters, but remove the link tags so the search engines won't read them as broken links. Not sure if that's a good idea or not, but that's what I would do for the time being.

Love the layout, colors, etc. How did you get the graphic with the set of books at the end of one of your site builder pages? I'm curious to know!

Where I definitely agree that the Google ads may be a little unpleasant - and I'd rather suggest a limited number of horizontally placed ads between some categories (as an outside opinion) - There's still one thing this site does well and that's keeping things simple.

Simple colours, easy navigation, some well placed digg/stumble buttons and a good looking banner.

Wow Everyone! Great Feedback...and thanks so much- really as I just taking it all in...

I'll be 150% honest- Now that I have 90+ pages this is so much work (newfound respect to programmers/developers worldwide!) and the learning curve is absolutely CRAZY!... I am finding it hard to zero-in and focus all this new found info and will be trying a service (referred by Deb in the SBI forums) to help me with a cleaner 3 column CSS template- which will help me due to tons of pages! I read on Lisa's site-that may help for easy edits...

In any case my goal is ultimately to get all my topics content up withing next few weeks, but right now I'm using notepad for content until my new template/format is ready.

Ulrich: I agree about Adsense, need to definitely clean it up but overall I'm proud of the site and happy that everyone seems to like. Me too, Love the Banner!

Renee: My pages were all created in Kompozer, and not sure if you are refering to book graphic on inspiration page (that I purchased stock photography) and the books near google search was a piece of free clipart.

Alpha7: Point well taken, gotta disable my links- just been super swamped with my 9-5 this week

BigTunaFan: You got it Buddy- Poker Quotes shall be implemented by end of May just for you

Lisa: As always, I think you are Wonderful! (Props to our wonderful and inspirational "leader", don't you agree everyone???)
