Party Planning website for review

I'm designing a new site for a client and I'd like to get some feedback on the design. Please let me know what you think.

Hi,

I think the site looks good and even though it's not looking bad with your choice of colour for the background I also think it could look very good if not better if you had a lighter (perhaps white?) background colour or at least for the part that has your content.

I'm not too fond of any form of flash myself except in the case that it's used for animations and little games so I don't like that too much about your site but don't take me too seriously on that because if you look back on my history you'll see that I criticize any form of flash.

I do however have a valid reason for that and that's because search engines can't read the text/contents of a flash clip and certain users with disabilities or old computers that use text-based browsers won't be able to use your site either (or at least will not be able to view a great portion thereof). That means you could potentially lose customers/visitors.

Maybe make the navigation links bold so it's easier to read.

That's just my two-cents

I agree with Ulrich about the grey. I think it needs to be a little lighter, but not white. I like the grey/pink color scheme.

I don't see a link to your home page on the "who we are" page. I know you're still building the site, but I just wanted to point that out in case you didnt know.

The pictures are good, and I like how the top and bottom images match. I just think it would look much better if the background were lighter.

I like the overall layout and having the video right up front to learn more about your services. However, I would add a stop button on your video. You always want to give your visitors a way to turn off sound/video. The good thing is your video is short and sweet so it's not as big a deal as it is for some sites with audio.

I agree with the gray background. Seems too dark for your theme. When I think of event planning or party planning I think of brighter colors...sort of like the light green you have on the right-hand side.

While I agree that the gray background in the splash/intro page is a little dark... looking at the "Who We Are" page, I think the gray background looks good to me.

Great design and graphics, though... It looks really good.
