Default How is it now?

Hi again!

I posted my bog I Heart Asian Food, here before for critic. I've continued to add more posts (all by me - which takes some time inbetween school and extra curric), I've added a widget, and I finally began to put up some of my own pictures (though its only a few - literally). I'd love to hear from Lisa and as many of you as possible - it's ok - be as brutally honest as you want!

So how is it now?

Hi danng,

I do not know how Blogger operates and I assume that's a pre-themed blog? Either way I think the colours really match your niche (topic) and it gives it that warm asian food-ish feeling.

You still lack some content, but nevertheless judging from the timespan between your posts you'll have a great blog within no time if you continue adding pics and content like you've done over the past weeks.

Perhaps a few more sublinks (for more content) are necessary?

Good luck

Default Good work to date!

Great work so far. Keep up the quality and style and you should do well.

Your title banner could be improved some time when you have a good picture, perhaps by using it as a background or inserting to the right. I would try to preserve the color though, looks good.

Bieng a executive chef and an asian food fanatic i really enjoyed your site. I even voted for eel sushi, hmmm unagi!!!

As for the site it looks stellar! I like the pictures but they could be a little clearer when you click on them. I found out that by taking a picture ans shrinking it down a bit it helps out on the overall clarity of the pic.

Goodluck with your site, ill come and check on it for recipies

Drat! I wrote a whole post and seemed to disappear into who knows where! I will try again.....

I do like the colors and simplicity of the site...it goes well with the idea of Asian simplicity.

I like the content and your writing style very much...I will be back to visit!

I wasn't crazy about the archival information being on the left hand side rather than the usual right side...maybe because I am used to it the other way...I don't know, but it just didn't flow for me. My eyes naturally fell to the beginning of the blog and scanned to the right and I had to make the effort to move over to that column.

There was also a lot of white space in that column. I know you need some...but I thought the column was very wide, but the content was narrow and there was a lot of emptiness to the right of the archival information.

Now, this is just a point of view of what strikes me when I look at the site....I am not experienced as far as knowing what works from an official "tried and true" method of placement point of view.

Now I am going to have to go buy groceries...you have worked me up for some braised tofu and dumplings!

I agree your color scheme works with your topic. Nice job. I also think the left column is a bit wide. I think it would look better if you could tighten that up. Also, an "About Me" page would be nice. You are using Blogger's default "About" link but it doesn't tell much about you. I would either create a page about yourself or complete the Blogger profile. You'll be amazed at how a little "about me" blurb helps you connect to your audience.

Default Changed the layout! Does it still fit?

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your past comments again. I wholeheartedly agreed about having the side bar on the right instead of the left. I used Blogger, so there's where I found the problem. Before, my template was a great orange color that really fit my topic - but the sidebar was on the left. When I looked to correct this, I found that the only way for me to have a sidebar on the right was to pick another template.

Now my blog is a whole nother color and look. So I would like to know if this new look works.

Thanks again!
