Ok, I started building this website about 6 months ago, and I am finally getting ready to launch it. I still have more ideas for it but I think I need to launch it and then add new features later, or I will never get it launched. So be brutally honest with any opinions, questions, or anything else you can think of because any and all feedback will be helpful.

The website is www.askthehat.com and what you can do is go on and make a "Hat" or multiple hats, and fill it with things to do, people, places, or just about anything you can think of. And then you can askthehat to give you a random response from that hat. You can either do that from your computer, or from your cell phone. Example is if you and your friends or (where I really got the idea) significant other are out trying to figure out where to eat, you can just Ask the Hat to give you a place. You can also share the hat with friends, family, or the community.

I am still working out a few bugs on the site, so if you see any, please let me know. And let me know what you think of the idea!

that's a really cool idea! I think your website looks great and very clean. great job! I didn't sign up, so I cannot tell you about technical bugs, but overall it looks great! I especially like the flash intro, because it explains the concept very well.

WOW! Very neat site. Did you design this yourself? I'm sooo impressed. Looks fun. I'll have to login when I get some time and check it out further but this is a very cool concept.

Hey, great site. I wanted to sign up but got turned off by how much info I had to give to sign up.

cell phone
first name
last name
cell phone
D.o.b
Gender...

Sorry, it's just too much in my opinion, and will probably turn off others as well. Why can't you just shorten it to first name and email and make cell optional if people choose to do it that way?

Anyhow, great concept! Just a bit too much info needed and no idea what is optional.

I really love the idea, it's fun and cool. The site looks great.

Signing up is a bit long. Do you need to have all of the personal data.

But I love the idea.

Hi dizzot. Just a quick FYI. I just tried opening your site and I get a "Page Load Error" and a blank page. I look forward to seeing the site 'cause it sounds great! Take care.
