Please critique my blog

This is the first time I have ever created anything on the Internet, so I would really appreciate any feedback on my blog. I have several ideas in the works for actual websites, but I thought I would get my feet wet by starting out with a fun blog, so I created one for one of my favorite actors, Jeffrey Donovan.

I am not so happy with the header, but since I know so little about HTML, I don't want to start monkeying with the code for fear of screwing everything up. If I do decide to turn this blog into an actual site, I can make a better header then.

Anyway, please give me your honest opinion and don't hold back any criticisms. You don't have to hold back any praise either.

Very clean and neat. I like the scrolling images on the top left. Nice effect. Also nice use of the photos. Even though you have a lot of them they are spaced nicely so it doesn't look too crowded.

Thanks, Lisa. You're right, there are a lot of photos at the moment. The actor has been a busy boy for the last week, so that accounts for the large concentration of images. That should change as I start to add more articles.

You have made me think though. The large photo on the header might be a bit much, so I'm removing it. Thanks again.

Just so you're clear, I was saying that I like your use of photos and didn't think it was too much but now that I see the new title, I have to admit it does look better.

I also like it quite a lot, the images look neat - just sometimes takes a little while to load as I'm on a mediocre ADSL line here :P

When it takes too long to load it sometimes makes my browser freeze too but I think that has to do with the Youtube videos or any substantial amount of Flash for that matter. I could be wrong though.

Thank you, Ulrich. Sorry to make your computer freeze. I forgot that too many videos and images on a page can make that happen. I am having so much fun with this blog that I am definitely going to turn it into an actual hosted website in the near future, so hopefully this kind of problem won't happen (at least I don't think it will if the website has a lot of pages where I will store video and photos).

Anyway, the blog was looking just a little too clean to me, so I changed the background from white to blue and changed the page elements around. It's still clean, just not as boring, IMO.

Now your site didn't cause any loading or freezing troubles. I guess I just had a bad run just now. Anyway the blue doesn't look bad, ugly or not clean but I personally prefer the white background. Tastes differ however I guess.

Keep it up. Glad you enjoy it..that way it will sure be a success
