Default Please Rip My Newest Site Apart

Well not really, just kiddin.

My newest site http://ebookaweek.com is up and running, take a look and tell me all the bad, and yes I guess the good too.

I have not added a lot of content but it is pretty straight forward, let me know what it is missing and so forth please.

I think it looks great! I don't see any issues either.

I like the gradient background in your left nav. Nice effect.

Have you done any analyzing of your Google ads? I've found that when I make the Google ads the same color as the links on my site, I get a better conversion. Your ads really look like ads with the box and the blue color. Just wondering if you've found it works best this way?

Once again, another superb site. I really like this one Nixweb. It's crisp and clean and to second what lisa said, I love the gradient background in the left nav. It's not crowded or overpowering. If I had to change one thing, I would make the layout border a little darker so that it will contrast a little better with the white background. Overall looks nice.

PS - I'm lovin' the joomla style.

Great looking site.

I have read through some of the content, and have noticed a few issues with spelling and grammar.

In the "Why is an ebook a good product?" section, the first paragraph is one long sentence, which should be split into several. There are also a few spelling mistakes on that page as well.

There are a few other mistakes that can be corrected easily by copying the content into a Word processor.

Other than that the site looks great.

Nope, I am just plain old lazy. I'm gonna change the g-ads soon since you pointed this out for me. On nixweb I have different color g-ads that I setup in thoughts of changing the template and then I never did, I will get these corrected too.

Thanks Lisa.

Yes, I unfortunately spell like a drunk monkey...LOL

The funny thing is I know this and still refuse to use a spell checker

Thanks for pointing out the spelling and grammar errors, I'll get on this and post an update tomorrow with all corrections, thanks to everyone, it is amazing what others see that I can overlook!

I think the site is nice. Your grammar and spelling mistakes are not limited to the first page though. Be careful with that. People prejudge you when it comes to stuff like that.

But fear not my friend, I too am a horrible speller, so no judgment here.

I love the design.

Default ditto on the spelling, it's important

nixwebo

Hate to pile on here, but while you're at it why not fix the spelling in your signature here on the forum. There is only one "t" in profit, as you have correctly spelled in one place in the same entry in which it is spelled incorrectly (the second reference).

We all make these kinds of errors but it does pay to watch carefully to avoid them whenever we can. Most people are turned off by them because they conclude that if you don't know how or don't take time to spell correctly you may be just as inept or careless in your content.

You do good work and have a lot of valuable content so taking care of this is a small effort that is well worth the time required.
