Default I would like a review of my site please

I have a web site which I had a web designer do. Some of you may have already seen it. Well I am now going through all of the view source pages and making meta changes some titles and such. This new site of our company is about 9 months old. The only page I have done changes on so far is : elm endorsed Schools. It's amazing after I put in the title elm endorsed guide training schools our site popped up higher on the 1st pg of google. Well I won't say more for now. Please give me any input. I so appreciate it

I loved it! The background is great and so is the header. The photos made me feel like going to the mountains. I almost missed the links under the header though. But great work!

Thank you for the compliment. I think it looks pretty good myself. Do yall think [those who look at my site] that maybe I should do any changes on the links under the header? We do get a lot of forms emailed in, however you know I'm always up for suggestions. That's how I am learning.

Hey alpha get on up here and we'll train you to be able to work in these her mountains.

Really great looking site! I love the colors in the background. The links under the header do kind-of blend in with the page. Maybe change the color of the links to stand out a little more. Very small issue though....I think it's great!!

Hi Paula,

I would recommend changing the color of your navigation links. The method in which users navigate your site is very important!

Make it easy for users to see the links. Other than that, I think you have a pretty good site and the design fits the theme very well.

Ok.
I got my links darkened some. Do yall think it is better? My web master uses dream weaver would it benefit me to obtain it, so in case he moves are whatever might happen. I have a good friend who can tutor me in it. I do have all my files downloaded, however on filezilla. There are of course things I can't do myself, that is why I thought I might should get the dreamweaver

Thanks again for looking at my site

because you're not using a "feed reader"...xml is a different beast than html. but you can see what it looks like by viewing the source of the file.

I was asking my webmaster about why all my web site pages aren't coming up on Google search, but 2 of them are on Yahoo

He sent me the above response which I don't understand it.

any ideas?

Hi Ladybow,

Your designer is most likely referring to what's called a sitemap. There are two "versions" of sitemaps you can associate with your site. One is a simple html page that displays links to all of pages on your site.

The other is called an xml site map. Search engines use these xml site maps to easily crawl and index your pages.

Visit this website: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

You can create a free xml site map and submit it to google to better your chances of being indexed. All you have to do to generate an xml site map using the web site mentioned above is enter in your domain name - example: www.elmguideschool.com and it will generate a site map that you can download and submit to google.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi Levi,
Thank for the info. I saw that it has site map xml on the home page, is it suppose to be listed on all pages? If it's already on my home pg do I still need to download it.

Thanks
Lady

Hi Ladybow!

The links do look better. I would agree with you to go ahead and get the Dreamweaver. It's always better for you to be able to make small changes in your site rather than depend on the designer.
