I also would like a review!!!
Thanks to everyone here. Especially Lisa and 2createawebsite.com
I could not have even started a site without you all.
Please, if you have an opportunity, take a look at www.tpgoldlotion.com also look at the HTML ie meta tags,title,...
Also, please look more at the learning center layout, that's my brain child. I want the site to be more about the learning center than my product. You'll see that there isn't much about TP Gold in the learning center content.

Reason: I forgot to put the site in there.

Welcome goldlotion!
I checked your website. Nice job.
You need to trim your meta tags a bunch. I believe the title should be no longer than 60 characters and your description no more than 20-25 words. The engines generally will cut you off at or around these limits so no point in writing so much. Also, limit your keywords to 2-4 words.
Of course search engine optimization goes far beyond meta content these days but they still help, especially when your site shows up in the engines and people are reading what your site is about.
I'm also confused about the learning center. Where is that?

Hi goldlotion,
I agree with Lisa about trimming down the meta tags, especially the keywords. I usually put 2 keywords at most, and that seems to work out fine. In fact, I get listed for some great keywords that aren't even in my meta tags, so it's not necessary to mention all types of keywords you would want to get listed for in each page.
Also, try to go for a slightly longer and more specific keyword. For example, instead of "tennis elbow" use "lotion for tennis elbow" which is a more targeted keyword and it would probably be easier to get listed for instead of the general "tennis elbow". Does this make sense?
Also, I didn't see a link for The Learning Center on your site. Is this a different website?
Hope this helps.

Question for Lisa & Sheriff
When looking at the TPGOLDLOTION.COM website, how did you know they he needed to cut down the meta tags without looking at the site source? Or is viewing the source of a site a normal practice for you? Just curious, because sometimes I do it also to see how their html is constructed.
However, I read somewhere once that the more meta tags you have the better chances of SEO ranking your site. Is this not true?

Thanks
Thanks so much for the quick response. As soon as I get a chance, I will use every ounce of the advice. Also, I appologize for the learning center debacle...last night, while working on the site, I loaded the wrong page. The news page should have a large area pointing everyone to the learning center. However, while working last night, I loaded an older version without. I can't fix this until I get home tomarrow, but in the mean time, please check... www.tpgoldlotion.com/learningcenter1.html
Thanks again.

FIXED IT!!!
Ok, I fixed the problems with the learning center. I'm still writing content for the Rheumatoid section, but the others are ready. I haven't fixed the meta tags yet, as I'm brainstorming the best options. Please have another looks when you folks get a chance. Thanks in advance.

Great News
While checking my Google "Findability," I found that after I followed all you your advice, I made the 1st results page for the key words "back, pain, lotion"!!!!
Thank you all so much. I can't believe that I've had the site up for 10 days, and already made google. Also, I think that there is software that will tell you how you rank with different keywords. Does anyone know where to find this.
Thanks,
Matt

That's great! And as you keep adding more and more content you'll get found for even more keywords.
