Default Site Header review please

YES I am building my CONTENT...Oh I am sorry I was yelling at my SBI training videos---LOLOL

But here is a Quick look at my Header

Please Review

and YES content is coming....It is a little scary as you look at other sites that you don't feel like you have enough content potential...but more areas keep popping up.

I will say this building a site is hard work-- haha as you all understand, well I hope some of you understand.

Thanks for ur kind review!

Hi BobG,

I like the people running but the image itself just seems dark to me. Can you lighten it up? Or maybe make the text another color? (white?)

Right, Lisa's tips are good. You might want to do a couple other things now.

First, the picture on the right side is good, I like it anyway, but I think it would look better reversed so the runner is facing left. The basic visual rule is that you don't want people facing off the edge. It's like someone standing against a wall. They look OK with their back on the wall but strange with their nose there. Might be difficult here matching up with the next pic. Nothing is easy.

Also, I would increase the size of the title font a little.

Good success.

James

Thanks James and I do have a pic of the guy running the other way I think...and Yes will work on Font size...

I Updated the first header

Looks Better White with a hint of brown to pick up the left border...I wish I could just make the height of the header larger but it over laps my Nav Buttons But that would make it a lot cleaner.

I like both ideas, in your first one I like the orange and the colour contrasts and the font and size fit in well.

As for your second one the images are a lot more brighter which is great; just as James said make sure your title is the same size proportion as your images.

Personally I prefer the first one. What image software are you currently using there's lots of free ones that allow you to use transition between images such as the blur tool so the images flow into one another which would make it look really cool.

Try out GIMP if you decide you want to take a look,

http://www.gimp.org/

Good luck.

The white letters definitely look better than the black.

Are you using an Image Optimizer or something that compresses your images size, as it looks a little out of focus and could be a lot sharpened I have noticed a lot of SBI sites with this happening does SBI provide you with a header maker or something similar?

Thanks Rob.... SBI has the templates and If u want u can customize some of the templates with ur own header...I made a header with Gimp then Uploaded it ...I used SBI for the type across the header.

Since the template doesn't give me the ability to make the Height taller I had to crop it and thus Fuzziness :-( and when I originally made the Header I had to crop up the photos so that didn't help either...But I would love them to be sharper and will have to learn how at some point...I am back to my CONTENT building and really need to focus on that part Right? Right!!
