Maby change your ads around. When you go to the home page . All you see is ads and your navigation.

I agree with base, there is a lot of ad overload right from the very beginning and could be a turn-off and instant red flag when your audience arrives.

I know it's tempting to add as many ads as possible because it seems you'll make more money but it's actually the opposite, especially when you're first starting out.

Maybe it's just because I'm used to seeing so many sites like this but to me the navigation looks best on the left. People are used to reading left to right and I instantly looked for your site navigation on the left side. And with all the ads, at first I thought your nav was more ads till I hovered over the links and saw the URLs were actually mapped to your site (not sure how I missed the word "Navigation". LOL)

Seems like you've got a lot of good content, just make it more prevalent.

Default Especially the top bar!

Yes, both of the comments so far are right on. At first glance I thought the whole site was advertisement. Even the first "article" I checked out turned out to be complete advertisement.

The worse ads are those in the top horizontal bar because even though the first button says "google ads" it is unlikely that people will suppose the whole bar is ads, not navigation.

If you want traffic you have to have a site that people choose to come to and recommend to others. Think about that first and selling next if you want to succeed.

In another area, for whatever reason your apostrophe appears as a diamond in firefox and a square box in ie. Perhaps you are using an unsupported font?

Good Success,

James

Hi

I also noticed that your 'Stress symptoms and consequences' nav bar was not closer to the top. Some people are actually trying to figure out if they are suffering from stress..........might be worth moving that one up? Just spotted the causes of stress in top nav bar and went to a Google Ad. That would put me off and I would move on.

I could not see your content at first glance just ads - and if I were clicking around the web I move on. Move some content up so that we see it straight away

Cool Relaxation

I agree with most on this site as far as ad placement goes.

As for your apostrophe problem, instead of actually typing out an apostrophe in your content, make sure that you replace all apostrophes with "'" (without the quotes). That should fix your browser apostrophe problem. (This is called escaping the apostrophe)

If you decide not to take Lisa's suggestion and move your navigation to the left (which I think is a good idea as well), I suggest making some sort of right margin between your text and the right side of your content box. It's a little bothersome to me when the right side of the last letter on a line is right up against a border. But then again, that's just me...it's up to you!

Good content!

A lot of our members make bullet points, or navigation pointers just to make the navigation look a bit more aesthetic from a plain blue link, try adding a very small graphics in front of your links.

I agree with lisa, in your sites case navigation is better on your left, I like actually like your ads positioned on the banner but the rest its just to overwhelming and the visitor will just leave before they reach your useful content!

As for your articles or posts there actually hosted externally, whether its yours site or not I would still say its a bad move as they are leaving your site to go to someone else or another which may confuse your visitor.

Overall you have a good site concept some good content, and design ideas just need to put it all together now!
