Your site in general looks pretty good (I'm not a gamer so I won't make any comments related to content--they would mean nothing).

I spotted a couple of spelling mistakes right off. That doesn't help anyone, so I would do a little more proofreading (Current Games Suppoted--upper right corner, sunday should be capitalized).

Also, the template was done in Firefox evidently. I works OK there, I think. But in IE, which most people use, the word "Welcome" sits way to the right overlapping other material. It may take some effort to figure that one out. Someone familiar with the necessary hacks to offset IE bugs can probably help. I've been a little lazy about learning about them. I just experiment with a few things until it looks OK in both browsers.

On taking another look I see in your source that the phrase in question was entered on one line in a header (as opposed to a paragraph or div) but the container is of fixed width which is too narrow for it to fit. Firefox was able to split the line and arrange it OK but not IE. Shouldn't be too hard to fix if that's all there is to it.

Personal taste. I'm not too excited about the two colors of gray and I would probably add some art work to the top, but my wife has never accused me of having much taste when it comes to color. If it comes in red that's good enough for me. But follow your link to BF2142 and compare--I would adopt colors more like those if you want to stay in the gray range. Slight changes but I think a little better.

i used and a templete and dont know how to change the colors if anyone knows how to in change it in dreamweaver id be happy.

You HTML template contains CSS styles, between the <style> and</style> tag. Look for "background: #" followed by six letters and numbers. The six letters and numbers is the specific colour to display. If you change that value, you change the colour.

Good idea to learn the basics of html and css. Even if you use good templates you will always run into problems like the ones here. You need to be able to make adjustments.

Here is some good advice that I wish I had known much earlier. There are a lot of tutors out there, some free, a lot that sound really good. Watch out! When I first started I spent a lot of time studying what I had to unlearn later. Painful. Most of these sites use a lot of html that has been deprecated (set aside as no longer proper and destined to become unsupported at some time). Most of these use older html mark up for style--like setting the background color as you are discussing here. You will note how your template uses CSS. That is the right way.

Two of the best sites that you can depend on for meeting current standards are: http://www.w3schools.com/ and http://www.htmldog.com/ . Both of them have great, free, online tutors and good information about marking up web pages.

The key factor in CSS is making "property, value and unit" even a basic text editor can do this, colours are controlled by six figure hex colour codes which control the look and feel of multiple pages, once you have made your html page which is now really easy with editors being capable of creating your site 'design view' and it adds the code automatically.

I learnt by downloading templates editing the designs and getting used to the format that they used eventually you wont need there templates and you will be able to create a format your own.

The W3 site is the best place to use if you want to check on something.
