Default Few more questions...

So, I have to wait till Jan 11 to buy SBI because I bought my domain names from Godaddy . Then, I will have to contact SBI and figure out how to do the transfer.

I hope SBI is as simple as everyone says it is. This is my first site and I am stoked about the name and logo design that I have. As far as copywrite and other business questions, what other liscenses or expenses should I expect. My site will be an informational site and I hope to use Adsense and Affiliate Programs to earn some income.

Do I need a business liscense?
Do I need to copywrite the name of my site?
Any other advice would be appreciated. I want to make sure I am protected.

Now SBI questions...

Lisa(or anyone who can answer this questions), with SBI, will I be able to scan my logo into my computer and upload it to my site using SBI?

Also, how difficult is it to add pictures to the site and what software that is affordable would I need?

In addition, I see SBI is adding some type of new feature. I saw some of the details in another thread and was wondering if you could go more in-depth about it. I am trying to figure out if it is something I want to do.

Thanks for the advice. I really enjoy reading this site.

Hi Flavel,

First of all let me clarify. SBI! lays out the process very well. I don't believe making money is easy. It still takes work and time with SBI!, you just have all the tools and help in one place.

You don't need a business license and there is a rule/law that states you automatically own any content you produce that is your own.

Yes, you can scan and upload your logo to your site. SBI! already has logos and headers but you can replace it with your own. For example the header on my flat-stomach-exercises.com site was a header I created in PhotoShop.

Uploading photos is as simple as hitting "Browse" and navigation to the location on your computer, hitting "Upload" and then inserting them into your page.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but even if he has his domains registered with GoDaddy, he can still point his DNS record to SBI as the web host and DNS authority.

I have not setup with SBI -- yet -- but is there something with the way they host that prevents this?

If you want to do simple crop and scaling then check out Paintbrush that comes with Windows. It can handle the simple stuff.

Yes, you have to transfer your name to the SBI! servers in order to use the functionality. So your domain will no longer be parked at GoDaddy.

Yes, you simply import the images you've cropped into your account and upload to your site.
