Ah yes! Mr. Potential, why not start a blog documenting your experience as it comes? I'd love to see something like that - or anything else. Go to blogspot.com (free Google service) and set something up.

ed7up, that's a great suggestion, I hadn't about that, man I might even be an affiliate if I keep this up. Now, that I think about it, it will probably fit into my business model theme. Definitely worth considering. Thanks.

Great feedback on this thread and thanks for joining the discussion mchallen. Gee you've address quite a bit here. I can probably give you more feedback a little after I've completed Day 2 again. I am currently doing it now. I just got my top 4 keywords for review in the brainstorm it. I know they said top 3, oh well. What is going to be very interesting to me is if my top keyword prior to SBI purchase holds up in this process, so far so good, but it is slipping.

Also congrads to you on getting your website up and completing day 8, I know the process took a great commitment and you did it. So it should be recognized as such.

If you all are still interested i will keep you updated on my progress.

Thanks for the welcome,

The 'free' version is the Site Build It video demo action guide...it's 10 days...very good preliminary information. Although some parts of the demo says you have to be a paid member.

Nontheless, I am so enjoying the ride!

Oh I see, Yeah it's is a good introduction. I'm glad you like. The program is "out of sight". I am throughly enjoying it. Man i just made it through Day 2, It required a lot of focus attention. It was also bitter sweet, because the keyword and high level site concept I had in mind prior to doing the brainstorming workout process was enlimited. My feelings were disappointed, but I swallowed my pride, focused on the goal at hand and got through it, with a better and better outlook on my site concept. I'm gonna get some sleep so I can start Day 3. All the best to everyone else out there. Now I'm interested to see how my new site concept holds up and shapes in Day 3.

Have you chosen another site concept then? My single biggest piece of advice would be find a topic that you know and love - don't chase profitability or traffic numbers unless your existing numbers are truly abysmal.

Yes, ed7up, my original numbers were truly unsubstaining, so I did change my site concept keyword. I am still in Day 3 right now and I am still fine tuning the new site concept keyword, so that it fits within the 3 tier model. I got some new ideas which means I have to go back to the drawing board to look at other keywords. Thanks for the advise. I must stay my actual site concept is basically the same, I'm researching how to structure it into the 3 tier model with one or two main keywords.

I am still working within Day 3, I've discovered prior to doing my blueprint for my site concept, how to refine my keyword concept, which doesn't fit into just one keyword category. It is associated with several. In a very general sense, I am a service, which helps people with their goals. I have gotten my keyword brainstorm to fit within 2 very good one word keyword category that sums up the scope of my site concept. So, I'm working from within that framework. Also, so that I can serve my customers/client in better way, I am enrolling into a certification program. This program will give me greater confidence, structure and clarity for the blueprint of my site. Although, I am unemployed, I know I have to make this sacrifies to do what I desire and love to do and provide the best quality to others. I will complete this process later next week. This will make the last half of the Day 3 flow smoothly. Hopefully Day 4 will continue within the next 7 days. I'm enjoying the Day 3 process for now. This certification will add more knowledge to add to my passion and current knowledge and make it a more worthwhile endeavor.

Hey Mr.P,

Thanks for the previous post. It pulls me back to going thru the Brainstormit! - Keywords process again as I'm feeling unresolved about it. And checking into the certification you were talking about. What kind, or type of employment are you looking for?

mchallen, The certification I am referring to is independent of sitebuildit it is directly related to my site concept. The action guide advises us to be passionate and knowledgeable about the subject in which you are building your site for. You can find that knowledge base information anywhere and specific to your concept. I just happened to be taking a class next week, which I would not have at this point where it not for the action guide's instruction.

Also, if you are feeling unresolved about the keyword process. I suggest you do 2 things. Go back through Day 2 and Day 3's action guide again. If that doesn't work, then start going through the Tips and Technique HQ and review the series of articles dealing with the CTPM process and the Brainstorming process. Pace yourself buddy there is a lot of material there. I believe it will be very useful to us. that is my next step while im in class this week.

As to employment, Im a Business Analyst-Architect and Technical Writer Consultant. I've been unemployed for several months now. However, i'm focus on finding new opportunities as well as building my website business.

All the best.

Also, see post #31, this member took several weeks to make it to Day 5, and had fun in the process.
I can't add links so just do a search on a thread about 2 months called "Is SBI the real deal?" within this forum and find post#31. It will add some inspiration.

Thanks Mister,

Maybe you should be Dr. Potential?

I'm going to take you up on your recommendation (prescription) for Day's 2 - 3. I blew past some of those sub categories in my quest to get the first site up.

Your field is not too dissimilar from my freelance antics.

Thanks again,

mchallen

mchallen,
Good to know we have similar professions. I’ve reviewed many sitebuildit case studies from sitebuildit site and from here. They all emphasize how important it is to follow the action guide to the letter. The learning process is unique to everyone. It’s a fine line between getting a understanding and procrastination. However, there is no crime in repeating a step to gain clarity and insight. This is too important to me to get it right, when it is right in front of me.

Thanks for the Dr. Potential plug. I appreciate the consideration. It’s funny, I’ve been thinking the same thing about using Dr vs Mr as part of my branding for my website and image. So, the jury is still out on that. In the appropriate time I will probably ask for a poll and get further feedback. Although, It not the first time I’ve been called Dr.

I am delighted you found my recommendation beneficial to you. All the best.
